The first of a series of products, “Hep C: Inside & Out” is a 14-minute educational video that provides an overview of this important public health problem. Through testimonies from those living with HCV and health care providers, the video provides a compelling overview of HCV infection. Targeted to people incarcerated in jails, prisons, and community corrections programs, as well as staff members in those facilities, the primary goal is to raise awareness of the disease: how it is transmitted, how to avoid getting infected, how HCV damages the liver, and treatment options.
The video / DVD is accompanied by a comprehensive booklet that provides tangible steps and recommendations for learning goals and objectives, frequently asked questions and responses, as well as the most recent data and available resources.
